Adrian Sutil sleets Force India performance

Adrian Sutil was pleased to have keep Force India's 100% scoring record for 2010 in Malaysia GP He was finishing in the top ten for the first time in this season. The first two races was very hard in Bahrain and Australia, the German came home a persuasive fifth position at Malaysia. Following qualifying session fourth on the grid, Sutil may have fallen behind Robert Kubica's Renault but was satisfied to have fought off the McLaren of Lewis Hamilton, finishing what had been a race-long charge for the 2008 Champion up until that point.

The race was exciting and fifth place in the end was a great achievement, Sutil mentioned. I was confident for a good race, as we were so close in the first two races, but then had a little bit of back luck that stopped us scoring. It was a good overall performance from the team.

It was always very close with Lewis just behind in the closing stages but I knew that if I didn't make any mistakes I wouldn't have any problems, so it was just trying to concentrate. I had to push, of course, but it was under control. I think we can now carry this forward to China; we are still a good top ten competitor and we need to continue like this - Q3 and a few points each race would be great at this stage in the season. It was a worse day for team-mate Liuzzi, though, as the Italian - who get points in the first two races - stop into the garage. I had had a good start from tenth and was in seventh place and had good pace, although I was stuck behind Hülkenberg in the Williams, he evoke. unluckily I had a problem with the throttle after about 12 laps. We didn't appreciate exactly what it was but overall we lost drive and that was the end of it.
