Webber praises Red Bull’s perfect strategy
Mark Webber is very happy with remarkable recovery from behind and aggressively finishes second on the podium for his exciting final British Grand Prix.
The Australian start from fourth on the grid, in the opening lap of the race Lotus Romain Grosjean slightly hit and damaging his front wing and lost his some positions.
Following his first pit-stop and fit new front wing and progressively recovering from the back. Final pit-stop gives him fresh rubber advantages and ultimately finished just 0.7 seconds behind winner Nico Rosberg.
"I don’t have a clue what happened off the line, we need to have a look at that. Grosjean then bashed the front wing, so it compromised the first stint. There were a lot of issues with tyres, but we were lucky not to have any issues.” Webber said.
"We had a clean race with a good strategy. I would like to have had a few more laps at Nico, but he was quick all day. I’m very happy; the team has done a good job."
