Mercedes AMG F1 team Principal Ross Brawn has rejected news that Michael Schumacher has been offered a new two year deal at Mercedes AMG. German newspaper BILD reported that the seven times world champions has been asked by the team to stay with the Silver Arrows until the end of the 2014 season.
But Mercedes team Principal Ross Brawn said that no deal has been offered.
"There's nothing on the table like that at the moment but we're open minded. We don't have other plans for drivers. Brawn told Sky Sports.
"We'll see what happens this year then talk about it. I hope it goes well because that means we'll be having good results and I think we'd both be happy to continue. It's certainly an improvement and we have worked hard on the areas we had defined last year.
"I'm very happy with the race simulation that we ran. It confirmed what we have seen from the first tests with our new car, and that we don't seem to have any big issues with reliability.
"From my side, I am happy with our first full testing session, and we have definitely improved our game which is what we wanted to achieve. To what extent, we can only see later, but I am finishing with a positive feeling."
