Careful of events in Malaysia, Mark Webber was delighted to have held his Spanish Grand Prix pilot at the turn one on Sunday race. Even though the Australian ace had passed team-co-driver Vettel off the line in China last time out, he arguably missing a Sepang wins after exit the door opens for the German. Webber celebrated a crushing overcome of the opposition in Spain, having never been headed from pole position. His third career win comes after earlier successes in Germany and Brazil last year."It's special and I'm absolutely wrapped but it's still very early doors," he insisted in the post-race press conference. "There's a long, long way to go, so we're waiting to see how cars perform at different venues because cars are pretty sensitive at different tracks."
But, Webber is sure that Red Bull will be able to retain its rapid pace in Monte-Carlo next weekend, with the Queanbeyan man himself having not put a wheel wrong at Spanish GP.
"It was a sensational weekend, we had a faultless Grand Prix," he continued. "It was an important part of the race, to get out of Turn 1 in the lead - it was quite tight there but I soon settled into a rhythm and looked after the tyres in the first stint; when I saw that Lewis (Hamilton) was in traffic, I did some quick laps to open up a gap."
