The team Chairman and principle Vijay Mallya is sure that, having intended to see Force India gain its first World Championship points with optimistic results last year, the team first known as Jordan can be regular top ten contenders as well as notching up several podium finishes in 2010. Having purchased the group then known as Spyker ahead of the 2008 campaign, Chairman and Team Principal Mallya has total self-assurance in the team as well as drivers Adrian Sutil, Vitantonio Liuzzi and third driver Paul di Resta. We are completed 2009 on a real high memo - our first still points, a podium and one place up in the Constructors' Championship, Mallya added, with Force India having beaten Toro Rosso to ninth overall in the final standings. That is sufficient in itself to set the bar much higher this season but we're actually determined to take it to the next level.
Normal points and the odd podium have got to be the aim and we know it is likely. I have a lot of confidence in the drivers and the technical staff; I think we've got into a very good beat together now. I have been very confident by the entire presentation, both at the track and at the factory. The testing times gave very positive headlines but it is very difficult to know where we are until we get to Bahrain. Surely, however, the first reports from the drivers are hopeful and when that happens it's worth an additional three to four tenths, if they feel happy and sure in the car that they can truly assault.
