Michael Schumacher to test GP2 car as he prepares for new season.

In preparation for his F1 comeback Schumacher, will trial a GP2 car this week at Jerez in Spain. Information in the newspapers Blick and Bild reveal that, despite the present F1 testing ban, the FIA has accepted the test, which will get place among Tuesday and Thursday this week. Schumi has not driven a top-powered single seater as testing a 2-year old Ferrari F1 car in front of his aborted return to the sport 2009 season.

He is now set to make a return with Mercedes GP and visited the factory early on week to check on his new team's arrangements. Bild said the GP2 car will be provided by the British team Super Nova.

Michael Schumacher as well exposed this week that he negotiated his new agreement at Mercedes without the help of his long-standing manager Willi Weber. In doing so he is predictable to have saved around €700,000 US$1 million by not paying Weber's common 10% commission payment.
