Vettel not concerned about Red Bull floor changes


Sebastian Vettel grabs his second successive pole and it’s recorded his 32nd career pole position, After the FIA’s banning of the Red Bull holes seen in the floor of the RB8.

Vettel storming to pole position ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso exceeding the potentials of their equipment to offer the only genuine threat to the World Champion's come back to the front of the grid, it was like old times at Montreal on Saturday afternoon.

In a season of such varying fortunes, the sight of Vettel, Hamilton and Alonso sitting alongside each other in the post-session press conference will perhaps serve in retrospect as the first sign that the 2012 season is ready to settle down.

“We have had to change the floor, closing the hole, but the car seemed to work pretty well anyway,” Vettel said after qualifying.

“That wasn’t the only thing on our car which was making a difference and we never feared for performance.”
