Romain Grosjean finished his second successive podium and it was his best results when he was finished first podium at Bahrain Grand Prix early on this season. Lotus F1’s One-stop strategy helped him another podium finish, and also Vettel late-pit stop supported him for second place in Canadian Grand Prix.
Grosjean started from 7th on the grid and finish second position and also his team-mate Kimi Raikkonen started from 12th on the grid and finished 8th position.
“The car felt pretty good with the Prime (harder compound) tyres,” Grosjean told after the race.
“I was fighting hard with Nico Rosberg and Mark Webber, but my tyres were still quite fresh when I saw Mark pit.”
“I didn’t realise I was third and then saw Fernando slowing down – and I was second,” he smiled. “It was just a crazy end to the race because I was thinking of P4 or P5. The pace was just there for us and the team did a fantastic job – we’re in good shape.”
