Aug.31 - Jarno Trulli revealed that he has already signed a race contract for 2012 season with the Norfolk outfit. And his team-mate Heikki Kovalainen usually expected to continue on, the news means their partnership will expand into its third season at the Team Lotus.
Trulli speaking exclusively to Manipe F1, Trulli said the details had already been finalised behind closed doors. And the team principal Tony Fernandes admitted an only some weeks ago that discussions are already in progress.
“We have already sorted next year. That story came out at that particular stage, but we were in talks from much earlier on,” he said, referring to Fernandes's comments in July. “It was fixed and is fixed, so we are not in contact talks at all at the moment, it's all fixed for 2012.”
Trulli said he didn't know when the team would declare his continued stay, but insisted he had a contract.
“I have a contract,” he continued. “Whether the team want to announce it or not, it's none of my business.”
