Kubica will come back to F1 - Daniel Morelli


Aug.30 - The Polish F1 driver Robert Kubica’s Manager, Daniel Morelli, says that Kubica will return to F1 once his period of recovery is complete. Robert continues to get better from the violent rallying crash at Italy in last February which absents him, between other serious injuries, with a partly severed hand. The last weekend, Renault GP issued a press release confirming that Robert Kubica’s last operation, aimed at improving full mobility of his right elbow, had been 100 percent successful.

“I can certainly say that Robert will still race,” Morelli said in an interview with RAI. “Of course, the recovery will take time and will require a long period after surgery, which is a normal process; but in a month or month and a half from now we will know when he should be able to return.”

In another matter, ex- racer Mika Salo has denied rumours that Robert Kubica may have lost his right thumb and that a come back to F1 will not be possible. He quoted in the Finnish media in relation to a TV commentary in Belgium GP.
