Red Bull's F-duct is not functioning rightly following its first time running at the Turkish GP and the team has not sure whether it will run it in qualifying and the race. Vettel's RB6 was fixed with the McLaren-style novelty for all 180 minutes of practice, while teammate Mark Webber's was used just in the second session. Vettel was the quickest of the pair in the morning before Webber found two tenths in the afternoon."It was a reasonable day - and quite tough as we introduced the F-duct," Vettel told. "We still need to do some fine tuning, but it looks good. I think McLaren looks very competitive here, their system seems to be working well and they seem quite a bit quicker than everyone else on the straights. You can make up time in the corners, but there are quite a few straights joining them. We'll see if we keep our system on."
Vettel told he think McLaren, top fast in both sessions, is taking a important advantage from its F-duct on the Istanbul layout. He therefore declined to confirm whether Red Bull will keep or ditch its initial prototype for qualifying and the race. Vettel was also happy with his new bodywork, after hurt was found to its predecessor in the wake of the Spain/Monaco double-header, won by his team-mate Webber.
It feels more natural and it was a good step to make the change," he added.
