Existing World Champion Jenson Button fears that his McLaren may suffer from bottoming out at Turn 8 on Sunday as it carries a heavy fuel weight in the early stages of the Turkish GP. The Frome man will start fourth after being delayed by Michael Schumacher-caused yellow flags in qualifying session. Among the Schumacher having missing his Mercedes on the outer kerbs of Turn 8, Button was forced to take the corner slower than usual although the Englishman is more concerned about the wear for the wooden plank underneath his car, which is used to verify that teams are not running with ride heights below regulatory values."It's not too bad, but being the last car on the circuit is sometimes a good thing, but there's always a chance of someone going off," Jenson said to reporters. "Michael went off on my last lap, so I obviously had to back off.
"We're a lot closer to Red Bull, so it's positive. My biggest problem has been Turn 8, I think we run the car too low - I wanted to run it low for the rest of the circuit but it's hitting the ground there. Anyway, that's the risk we took; with a lot of fuel on-board, it's going to hit the ground a lot in Turn 8 and I'm a bit worried about that.
"But obviously a lot of people have had issues so we hope to capitalize on that."
