Schumacher has come back to rejoined the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA), F1 union for drivers. The 7-time World Champion was last part of the group prior to his retirement from racing in 2006. Having completed his F1 return in Bahrain last month, Schumi has now been set as a GPDA member once again following discussions with former Ferrari team-mate Felipe Massa.
Yes, Felipe talked with Michael after the race in Melbourne, Sabine Kehm, spokeswoman for Schumacher, told news agency DPA. Michael still supports the GPDA's work but he will no longer play as active a role as previously. The German and Mercedes team-mate Nick Heidfeld was chosen as the committee's new Chairman at the Australian GP two weekends ago.
