Hamilton said he is satisfied with Pirelli’s latest decision, who suffered in the British Grand Prix following the rear-left puncture and send back to the race from the front, but finally he come-back strongly and to finish fourth.
After Silverstone race Hamilton said "What happened is just unacceptable. Safety is the biggest issue. Someone could've crashed. Behind the safety car I was thinking it was only when someone gets hurt that something will be done about it."
Pirelli previously announced that will give revised rear tyres with a Kevlar belt rather than steel, before it reintroduces its 2012 design construction from the Hungarian Grand Prix onwards. It has also asked the FIA to introduce a new regulation to allow it access to real-time data from the teams regarding pressure, temperature and camber angles.
"I am satisfied, but only when we get there (Germany) will we have a better idea how it is for us," Hamilton said.
"Everyone is in the same boat, but I'm glad action has been taken. It's still a concern. We'll see how the weekend goes but I'm sure they've taken the right steps to make it safe."
Hamilton’s team-mate and British GP winner Nico Rosberg also said that he is very confident with the Pirelli’s decisions.
"I'm confident the right decisions will be taken because safety is a very important factor," Rosberg said.
"I think they (Pirelli) will have everything under control for the Nurburgring, which will be good.
"We don't have experience on these tyres. We ran them in Montreal, if I'm not mistaken (during practice), so it's going to be a bit of a learning process.”
“But with the car we have it doesn't matter which tyres we use because we have a very quick car in general so I am confident we can stay where we are, more or less. I'm very excited to drive again because our car is so good at the moment."
