Sebastian Vettel wins 2013 Canadian Grand Prix


Defending world champion Sebastian Vettel easily took the Montreal victory from Pole. The German added his 29th career victory and maiden in Canada. Following the chequered flag the winner Vettel said via team radio: "Yes! We won Canada!". Fernando Alonso is second with Lewis Hamilton third and Mark Webber fourth. Sebastian Vettel extended his drivers title lead as he eased to victory in Montreal.

Monaco Race winner Nico Rosberg is fifth ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne, the Toro Rosso speedy claiming his best finish in F1 in sixth. Paul Di Resta, Felipe Massa, Kimi Raikkonen and Adrian Sutil are the final men in the points.

Pole sitter Sebastian Vettel done a perfect starting, following the first lap, the German made +2 seconds gap between Lewis Hamilton. In the opening lap Williams rookie Valtteri Bottas fall down to fifth ahead of Fernando Alonso, following the couple of laps the Spaniard easily overtook him.

On the lap 16 Williams’s Pastor Maldonado has received a drive-through penalty for hitting the back of Force India’s Adrian Sutil. After a long battle, on the lap 32 Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso overtook Nico Rosberg; The German has done an excellent job keeping Webber and Alonso off Hamilton's tail, pits and puts in the medium tyres. He comfortably rejoins in fifth place. Rosberg and Massa the only guys run with super-soft after first pit-stop.

On lap 37 Caterham’s van der Garde and Mark Webber made contact and the Australian’s front wing damaged little-bit. Following the investigation Van der Garde gets a 10-second stop-and-go penalty for ignoring the blue flags.
