Rosberg fastest in second practice for British GP


Mercedes speedy Nico Rosberg set fastest lap-time in second free practice for British Grand Prix. The morning practice session interrupted due to heavy rain.

The German, who posted season’s most pole positions and today he posted best lap-time with 1:32.248 ahead of two times British GP winner Mark Webber.

Canadian Grand Prix winner Sebastian Vettel set third fastest ahead of Force India’s Paul di Resta. At ease outpacing his team-mate Adrian Sutil and the German finally took eighth.

Local hero Lewis Hamilton posted fifth in the second Mercedes, with a clear focus on capturing long-run data.

Morning practice session pace setter Daniel Ricciardo on sixth fastest ahead of his team-mate Jean-Eric Vergne.

Lotus Romain Grosjean set ninth fastest and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso completed the top in the evening practice time-sheet.

McLaren driver Jenson Button wound up 11th after a quiet day behind the wheel, with team-mate Sergio Pérez just under four tenths adrift in 14th.
