Raikkonen and Ricciardo get two-place grid penalties for Canadian GP


Lotus’s Kimi Raikkonen and Toro Rosso’s Daniel Ricciardo receives two place grid penalty for Canadian Grand Prix main race, following the both drivers are not lining up properly at the pit exit when Q2 restart after the red flag.

During the Montreal qualifying Q2 Ferrari’s Felipe Massa crashed at Turn 3 and following the red flags are out with 1.59 on the clock and the session has been stopped.

Drivers are lined up at the end of pit lane, when session restarts and they are waiting for the lights to go green.

Kimi Raikkonen, Daniel Ricciardo, Jean-Eric Vergne, Sergio Perez and Pastor Maldonado; were called before the stewards following qualifying for the alleged breach.

The video footage shows clearly Raikkonen and Ricciardo have queued in to the left of the fast lane of the pits and in the area where practice starts are made.

Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez moves up two places while Raikkonen and Ricciardo drop one place.
