Grosjean top on opening day of final Barcelona testing


Roman Grosjean set top fastest lap-times on the opening day Barcelona testing. Brand new Lotus F1 come-back to testing track and give positive results with Grosjean. Roman set quickest lap-time in last session running at Barcelona just ahead of 30 minutes remaining at end of testing day.

McLaren’s Jenson Button made second top fastest lap-time in morning session of opening day at Barcelona. The British speedy done low mileage today just 64 laps, 1:23:510 is his best time.

Sergio Perez previously set best lap and top of the timesheets, and he done 118 laps with 1:23:820 best time, third fastest ahead of Red Bull’s Mark Webber.

Mark Webber finishes half second slower than Sauber, Red Bull still unceasingly hide their car’s rear wing. The Australian set fourth quickest lap-time with 1:23:830 and 100+ laps.

Nico Rosberg done most mileage 128 laps for the day and set fifth fastest lap mostly completed over long stints. Toro Rosso’s Jean-Eric Vergne was sixth fastest; with Toro Rosso contribute much of the last hour to pitstop practice.

Force India’s Paul Di Resta set seventh fastest lap-time ahead Ferrari’s Felipe Massa the Brazilian had a active in afternoon session, finally he completing 105 laps for the day, his best time was only good enough for eighth place.

The Russian Vitaly Petrov done ninth fastest and Pastor Maldonado had completing the least number of laps for the day with just 58 and set last place.
