Circuit of the Americas will be schedule on time


Austin GP track designers Tilke GmbH’s Managing Partner Peter Wahl is adamant that the Circuit of the Americas will be schedule to host its first appearance F1 race in November, with construction work on schedule. Despite a host of early teething problem, the venue looks set to mark America's return to the sport after a four year absence.

"It's time to say it's okay. It will work," he explained to daily newspaper The Statesman. "I can already say we will be ready earlier than November.

“I'm sure it will meet all the requirements of Formula 1. It will be one of the best tracks in the world. It's like creating a baby. We are now still pregnant, but we know already that it will be born."

And the street circuit in New Jersey also joining the F1 fraternity in 2013, Wahl believes a positive 'synergy' can be formed to help promote both races in harmony.

"I believe there can be a synergy," he explained. "It's easier to have two tracks to promote rather than one. I see that as a benefit for both if you play it right."
