Fernando Alonso drove a Ferrari F1 car at Fiorano for the first time on Thursday as the previous double World Champion amused guests as well as being in the cockpit for the shooting of a promotional video. But, amateur video has revealed that the car was carrying a modified rear end.
Having been at the team's Maranello industrial unit for the first half of the day, working with engineers plus a stint on the F1 simulator, Alonso then made his way to Fiorano to begin on-track activities with a group of Ferrari owners who toured the circuit with suggestion from the Spaniard.
Filming a promotional video for the Ferrari website, Alonso then drove a short number of kilometers in this year's F10. 'You have to make the most of any opportunity in this era of the testing ban!' a team report paradoxically joked.
