Ferrari to inspect Massa speed - Stefano Dominical

The Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team Principal Stefano Domenicali has explained that the Italian squad suffer obliged to investigate why Massa has struggle for standard pace so far this season in evaluation to new team-mate Alonso. Following qualifying five places lower and six tenths of a second slower at the Spanish circuit, Massa completed the Spanish Grand Prix sixth, four positions more back than the local favorites and 41 seconds at the back by the time the chequered flag fly.

"We have to make sure the car is one he feels confident driving," Domenicali is quoted as saying by the BBC. "For the first time this weekend it was not the case. It is important to go back and see what we have done around Felipe's car.

"Felipe started to complain about the level of grip of the car from the beginning and that never happened (before) - to be honest, Fernando was also saying that."

And also, Felipe declare that he felt powerless to extract more performance from his F10. "Fernando is a very good driver but something has happened to me," commented the man who won at Barcelona in 2007. "Something is not going like I want, so I can't do the lap time or drive the car like I want - this is something that we need to understand and improve."
