After a post-race car check in Bahrain, Red Bull has revealed that it was a spark plug and not a wear out failure which missing Sebastian Vettel victory in the season initial race at Bahrain on Sunday. Having amazed Ferrari to take pole position on Saturday, German pace Vettel lead happily and fought off a stiff face from ultimate race winner Fernando Alonso before unexpectedly down the power on Lap 33 of 49.
Among Alonso, Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton having relegated Vettel to fourth, the German pulled off the track at Turn 1 on the slowing down lap, with the spark plug failure having been recognized later in the sunset.
