Sepang climate condition updates: Heavy rain forecast

Near the beginning local weather readings for this weekend's Malaysian GP point towards a very wet and consequently lively weekend at Sepang, as forecasts for country capital city Kuala Lumpur and the track itself designate heavy rain for both day and night, for all days of the event.

The practice on Friday, this weekend's Grand Prix starting time has been stimulated back by one hour - to 4pm local time on Sunday - in order to pass up the ordinary late afternoon showers in the region for this time of year, which reason last season's event to end in advance.

But, organizers can find it hard to avoid being caught in the rain once again as the forecast heavy spell of rain, coupled with ambient temperatures projected to reach some 33°C (91°F) in the day and no less than the mid 20s at night, ensure the usual painful working environment for all.
