Sebastian Vettel satisfied with his first pole position of year

Vettel was very happy in Bahrain GP after fetching the first pole position winner of the 2010 season F1 on Saturday evening. Having struggled some technical problems and lost essential track time as a result in practice on Friday, the German racer admitted that the best place on the grid had not been projected. With together Sebastian and co-driver Mark Webber having suffered a lot of problems in practice, with the Australian in particular as he was entrenched to the garage for most of Friday's second session, Vettel was enjoyably surprised with the qualifying result.

I'm very surprised, the German ace said. In testing nobody actually knew pace and then yesterday was not a huge day. Qualifying go pretty smoothly, though, and I'm very, very happy to be on pole!. A lot of thanks to the team; the boys haven't had much slumber over the last month but everyone has showed how physically powerful they are and to be on pole is a pleasant mood.
