Virgin Racing drivers Lucas di Grassi and Timo Glock will be starting today's Australian Grand Prix from the pitlane. The team changed a number of parts on the car and are thus not allowed to start the race from the starting grid.
In qualifying both drivers suffered fuel pressure problems. The team replaced both drivers' fuel pump on Sunday morning and while replacing this item can be done without being penalised the team also made some set-up changes.
Virgin will have one advantage though by starting from the pitlane. The team's fuel tanks are too small it was announced earlier this week so starting from the pitlane will safe them one start for the warm up lap and the warm up lap itself.
