Jaime Alguersuari set to drive Toro Rosso for this season

Alguersuari will hold on to his race driving seat with Toro Rosso for the 2010, line up beside Sebastien Buemi for the Italian team. Alguersuari substitute for Sebastien Bourdais at the Red Bull-owned team in July previous season. He is just 19 years-old, the Spaniard became the youngest driver in the history of the Formula 1 world championship, and his most excellent finish came at the second to last round in Brazil when he finished 14th place.

Allowing for that he made his entrance only second-half during 2009 season, at the Hungarian Grand Prix, with no earlier testing, he did a good racer, making stable growth all through the second half of the year, with a grown-up approach allowing for he is still only 19 years old, added Franz Tost, (team principal).

In this season, he will once more face a sharp learning curve, as all the circuits in the first part of the season will be new to him. Jaime’s selection also confirms our team’s dedication to bringing on graduates of the Red Bull youthful driver program.
