Bianchi and Pic to receive grid penalty for Japanese GP

Marussia’s Jules Bianchi and Caterham’s Charles Pic receive a 10-place grid penalty for next Japanese Grand Prix after picking up their third reprimand of the season in Korea.

In post-race evaluation, the stewarding panel judge that the Marussia and Caterham drivers failed to slow sufficiently under yellow flags, having studied the relevant telemetry data supplied by the teams following Sunday's race.

Adrian Sutil also visited the stewards' office after the Grand Prix to discuss his Turn 3 collision with Red Bull's Mark Webber, but the Force India driver escaped a penalty.

2013 Korean GP: we tried to control the race - Vettel

Sebastian Vettel is even closer to their fourth championship. His victory today at the Korean Grand Prix provides their first opportunity to be a champion before the end of the season. If he wins at Suzuka and Fernando Alonso is ninth or worse, Vettel will get his fourth drivers' championship.

Michelin ready to an F1 come back in 2014

In Belgian Grand Prix paddock talks about new topic that Michelin come back to Formula 1, the sport will replace current supplier Pirelli?

Cruel tyre regulations on F1 wheel sizes force teams to use 13-inch wheels; it is significantly smaller than those seen in other racing series. Michelin director Pascal Couasnon told Le Figaro Michelin would favour to use 18-inch wheel rims if it come back to F1.

1977 season Michelin joined in Formula One, and also they are initially introduced radial tyre technology to F1, 1984 Michelin exit from the sport. The French tyre manufacturer returned to Formula One in 2001, supplying the Williams, Jaguar, Benetton (renamed Renault in 2002), Prost and Minardi teams.

Toyota joined F1 in 2002 with Michelin tyres, and McLaren also signed up with the company. Following the tragedy of the 2005 United States Grand Prix they are leave from the sport at the end of 2006 season.

Crucial tyre controversy in Formula One

Following the debacle of the 2005 United States Grand Prix where, because of safety concerns, Michelin would not allow the teams it supplies to race, Michelin's share price fell by 2.5% (though it recovered later the same day). On 28 June, Michelin announced that it would offer compensation to all race fans who had bought tickets for the Grand Prix.

The company committed to refunding the price of all tickets for the race. Additionally, it announced that it would provide 20,000 complimentary tickets for the 2006 race to spectators who had attended the 2005 event.

“We have always said that the presence of a competitor interests us, however we have evolved our thinking on this and now the absence of a competitor, which would have been a problem in the past, isn’t any longer. Today we are ready to go in alone, as long as there is a technical challenge, even as a single tyre supplier.”

If Pirelli disappear from sport, they must be face big loss

Formula 1 need replace Pirelli? Michelin wants rapid tyre production for 2014. But Pirelli already do wide-ranging of developments for 2014 season, which may go to waste if F1 turns its back on them and hold Michelin.

“We are working towards 2014 and are spending a lot of money for 2014,” said Pirelli motorsport boss Paul Hembery in Spa.

“We have contracts in place and hope people will want to adhere to them. It’s a bit farcical really; it’s September in a week’s time. We are obviously working for next year with the teams who are on board and the promoter on board. So you have to assume that it’s going to be okay.”

Star of the Belgium Grand Prix

Double-time world champion, made a perfect start, dragged-off some sparkling overtakes and finish second on the Belgium Grand Prix podium.

Fernando Alonso was done a perfect job with Ferrari machine, skill and new second-half package lifted the Ferrari’s performance at Spa. The Spaniard starts from the ninth on the grid and perfectly finished at second on the podium. Ferrari new set-up car was much better than the last two races.

Ferrari adapt new parts in Spa have been a front wing, which derived from that used in Hungary with a slight modification, other modifications in soil and diffuser, and rear spoiler specific (average load) is traditionally made for this particular track.

"I'm happy, happy with the feel of this weekend, with the parts we brought here that seem to work well," Alonso said about new improvement.

"We have to take things calmly, because this is a very specific circuit and we are first and second in any training or qualifying or race, but we are ninth and tenth grade and we are now in the second and seventh career. So for now there is still work to do, " he added

Currently he second on the drivers’ championship, 46 points behind the championship leader Sebastian Vettel.

Mercedes’s low downforce package didn’t work at Belgian GP

Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg struggled in Belgian Grand Prix, particularly with straight-line speed. Now they are recovered from tyre degradation problem.

Last few races Mercedes guys beaten its rival, and they are already dominated with qualifying pace. But Mercedes’s low downforce package had not worked in Belgian GP.

"We are trying to understand where we missed out, the guys will work out where we were slower, but Eau Rouge was particularly slow for us – as it was down the straight.” Hamilton said.

"Maybe we will be able to unlock something before the next race, but if not I am hoping Singapore will be much stronger."

"They [from Singapore] are more windy circuits, more high downforce," he said. "Coming to these two circuits [Spa and Monza], you have the downforce package and you are kind of stuck with it. It either has or hasn't worked.

"We may improve in the next race or be in the same position, but we won't be any worse.

"After that we will have the high downforce package we had in previous races or improved again. Hopefully it will be improved again."

Ferrari back on title fight - Domenicali

Ferrari team Principal Stefano Domenicali says that they are back on the track even as he admits that it is not enough title fight.

Double-time world champion Fernando Alonso proved his Ferrari’s race pace and easily finish second on the podium start from ninth on the grid. But still the Italian out-fit claims that they need more improvements.

"I think it's important, not only for Fernando - who deserves a very quick car - but also for the team because they are working very hard to make sure that we are able to fight up until the end for the championship," Domenicali said.

"We had a very bad July for many reasons and I am very pleased to see that we are back on track but it is not enough.

"If you want to make sure that we are able to arrive at the end we need to have another step with regards to the performance of the car and this is what I am seeking from my people. This Is what at home everyone is trying to do as best they can and this is really the target that we have.”

“For us it's important to get back on the trace of improving the car but for sure we have seen Red Bull has improved and we need to stay there because we can beat them by improving the car better than them and/or being there if there's an opportunity that comes because they may have a problem. Don't forget last year…"

Also Ferrari brought some new parts for Spa, when the reporters asked they will continue the performance with this package for rest of the season. Domenicali said some teams will carry through for the next races but some others adapt new packages with circuit specific.

"Some of them will carry through for the next races but some others of course were obviously the focus of the package with this race. At least I'm pleased to see that the car was back to a normal improvement in terms of performance; that was the most important thing for us."
